In the summer of 2017, the Events Manager at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site reached out to us about catering their annual Civil War Dinner in November. After she described past menus as being standard banquet fare, we immediately saw this as an opportunity for us to demonstrate our creativity & research skills. We were given recipes from the Harrison curator that started us on a journey to research & create a menu for this event that captured the spirit of cooking in the era of the Civil War.
